For the time that I’ve been running Apprenti Ôr'ganik, I have been many things: an optimist, an apprentice, a businesswoman, a partner, and a mother. Often, I’ve been them all at once. Fortunately, as I continue to grow and change, I do so with the support of my husband who, as my partner in life, has also become my business partner. Many know Jean-Mat from his sustainable menswear brand, Bon Vivant. Over the last few years, as my company grew, Jean-Mat put his brand aside to help realize my vision. Today, I’m delighted to say that he joins me as Apprenti Ôr’ganik’s Sales Manager and Director of Operations.
Change is beautiful because change can mean growth. We are constantly in a dialogue with ourselves, our bodies, and the world around us. As I grow and evolve as a human being and business owner, I have come to understand that we are always changing. As a mother, I encounter change every day. Watching my son grow and discover the many beauties and blemishes of the world, I am reminded that each moment has the power to leave an imprint. Our world is full of processed and denatured food and products. As an advocate for the healing potential of nature, I’m more empowered than ever by the work that we do at
Apprenti Ôr’ganik. As I study to become a Naturopath and as I see the world through the eyes of a mother, I know that I am working toward building a better, more holistic future for my son.
Though change has been a poignant theme in recent times, it is always anchored in stability. I am anchored by my family and the love they give to me. I am anchored by work and the healing power of the natural world. Most of all, I am anchored by you and the community of people that have and continue to support Apprenti Ôr’ganik. It’s because of you and your belief in us that we are here today.
